Jared C. Bennett was born in Salt Lake City, and, eventually, earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Master of Public Administration, and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Utah. For the past 11 years, Jared had been serving as an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice where he prosecutes federal crime and defends the United States in civil litigation. Currently, Jared is the Chief of the Civil Division. Jared also is an Associate Adjunct Professor at the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. Jared is happily married to his sweetheart of 19 years all while raising 6 children.
